Based in Tanzania and reporting to the Chief Operations Officer - Group, the Country Manager will chart our course towards sustainable growth and profitability. Together, we will harness the power of sustainable energy solutions and illuminate a brighter, greener future for generations to come.

Key responsibilities
  • Responsible for driving the growth and success of the Company's projects/operations in the Country.
  • Develop and implement the company's strategic plans, objectives, and initiatives in alignment with the overall corporate strategy.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the local team, setting clear goals and expectations to drive performance and ensure the achievement of business targets.
  • Manage the Portfolio of projects (EPC, Services) of the company.
  • Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with Budget, Planning, HSE and Company Group policies.
  • Source new opportunities/projects when required together with Business Development Manager.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government authorities, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, performance metrics and documentation to Group COO and Board of Directors when required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. A Master's degree in engineering or project Management will be a plus.
  • At least 10 to 15 years' work experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of mining and power supply sector highly desirable.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Ability to lead by example, coach and mentor people and lead difficult conversations with emotional intelligence (EI).
  • Ability to design and implement strong processes.
  • Ability to build sustainable relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent listening, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to source and interpret data for business insights & report accurately.
  • Ability to make quick and sound decisions and solve problems creatively.
  • Tech savviness.
  • Work ethics and rigor and ability to build reports within deadlines.
