Description

As a 6G Welder, your precision and expertise will ensure the strength and integrity of our piping systems. From TIG to ARC welding, your role is to join and repair metal components with accuracy, safety, and care. Working at the heart of the project, you will contribute to high-quality installations that meet strict standards, helping our teams build reliable infrastructure, one weld at a time.

Key responsibilities
  1. Operational Management

    • Inspect welding equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety.

    • Set up welding machines with appropriate polarity (DC or AC) based on material.

    • Prepare pipes by removing contaminants using wire brush, grinder, or cleaner.

    • Calibrate machines for precise welds per project specifications.

    • Perform TIG and Arc welding with proper technique and safety.

    • Follow all workplace safety protocols and use PPE.

    • Repair existing piping systems.

    • Clean and visually inspect joints post-welding.


  2. Planning

    • Plan daily tasks to meet welding targets efficiently.


  3. People and Relationship Management

    • Maintain clear communication with team members.

    • Foster a respectful and collaborative work culture.

    • Resolve conflicts and encourage teamwork to ensure project continuity.


  4. Reporting & Analysis

    • Prepare daily reports and non-conformance reports as needed.

    • Report welded dia inches daily to supervisor.

  5. Budget Management

    • Support cost control in project execution.

  6. HSEQ

    • Follow safety regulations and wear PPE at all times.

    • Ensure proper ventilation and have fire extinguishers on hand.

    • Maintain clean and organized workspaces.

  7. Compliance

    • Adhere to company policies and SOPs.

    • Comply with local laws and project regulations.

  8. Other Duties

    • Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Education/Qualification: Certified in 6G welding (TIG and ARC) through recognized institutions or certifications. Additional certifications in pipe welding are advantageous.

  • Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in TIG and ARC welding, particularly in piping applications.

  • IT Skills: Not applicable.

  • Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.

Key Competencies and Skills

  1. Utilize appropriate welding techniques and equipment to ensure welds meet required standards and specifications. Skilled in using grinders, cutters, and other related tools.

  2. Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and under varying environmental conditions.

  3. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

  4. Perform high-quality 6G TIG and ARC welding on various pipe materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloys.

  5. In-depth knowledge of workplace safety regulations, with a proven track record of implementing safe work practices.
