Based in Tanzania and reporting to the Country Manager, the Commercial Manager will chart our course towards sustainable growth and profitability. Together, we will harness the power of sustainable energy solutions and illuminate a brighter, greener future for generations to come.

Commercial Management
- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Manage and negotiate contracts, ensuring favourable terms and conditions while minimizing risks.
- Provide pre and post-contract commercial management of all sites/projects within the company, providing specialist commercial advice, guidance and recommendations to mitigate commercial risks.
Contract Management
- Manage and negotiate contracts, ensuring favourable terms and conditions while minimizing risks.
- Manage quotations from subcontractors in relation to tenders/contract variations/rate requests/non-standard work and for producing cost estimates including template cost build ups.
- Validate and negotiate prices/rates quoted by subcontractors and suppliers.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with subcontractors and place subcontracts and issue notices, variations and instructions to subcontractors.
Cost Management
- Develop cost reporting system and robust commercial procedures that produce timely, accurate and detailed information on the financial status of projects.
- Provide commercial advice and expert opinion regarding contractual exposure and claims on projects.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance, to develop and execute integrated commercial plan.
- Participate in meetings and conduct negotiations with potential customers and subcontractors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
Reporting
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on status of projects / tenders.
- Analyse business opportunities and make proposal to Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree in engineering will be a plus.
- Similar work experience in Oil, Gas and Mining industry in Africa.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data to drive informed decision-making
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
