Based in East Africa and reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Head of Operations will lead our forthcoming projects across various sectors in Africa (Renewable Energy Systems & Infrastructure, Electromechanical Engineering, Power and Infrastructure, Oil and Gas).

- Manage the Portfolio of EPC projects of the Group in various African countries.
- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with budget, planning, HSE and Company Group policies.
- Ensure projects controls, planning, cash flow and monthly reporting are properly addressed.
- Ensure procurement and contracts are managed in accordance with best practices of the industry.
- Support COO in developing new opportunities/Projects when required.
- Support COO to implement new processes, KPI and improve operational efficiency.
- Be accountable in ensuring compliance in project procurement, management processes and reporting, in countries where the Group operates, by closely collaborating with the project’s directors and Local MDs.
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or equivalent.
- At least 10 to 15 years’ work experience with EPC in a managerial position.
- Work experience in the EPC, Energy, Construction, Property Development, Supply Chain sectors and Planning.
- Working exposure in Africa with renewable projects would be an advantage (with a focus on Kenya and Tanzania).
- Mastering P&L principles and standards.
- Good leadership skills, with a passion for People Development.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, and experience in collaborating with diverse employee population.
- Ability to work in a project-based, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
- Experience in project organization and restructuring processes leading to improved results.
- Business and financial acumen competencies.
- Excellent verbal and written English - French would be an advantage.
- IT proficient in Excel, Microsoft package, Planning, knowledge of an ERP system (SAP/SAGE) or equivalent.
